Introducing a professional safety management system in the manufacturing company
An occupational health and safety management system is part of a specialized company management system. The system includes all the components required to establish the occupational health and safety policies and goals of the company and methods to reach those goals. General requirements for the occupational health and safety management system in the manufacturing company result from the relevant regulations, which require an occupational risk assessment and proper use of the required means of protection, training and information for the personnel. Implementation of the occupational health and safety management system, a model and components of which are defined in PN-N-18001:1999 allows to successfully meet all the requirements resulting from legal regulations. In accordance with the standards, the occupational health and safety management system includes the involvement of the management, occupational health and safety policy, planning, implementation, functioning, auditing and corrective measures, i.e. audit by the management and the continuous improvements in the implemented management system.
Scope of training:
- general legal regulations (responsibility of the employer and the supervising personnel, responsibility of the employer and entities responsible for organizing work of the personnel / other entities / third-party personnel, responsibility for violating occupation health and safety rules and regulations, post-accident procedures for employees and third-party personnel, responsibility for accidents;
- methods of effective occupational health and safety management (goals of the occupational health and safety management system/OHSMS, use of harmonized standards in occupational health and safety management, type A, B and C standards, hazard checklist to PN-EN 1050:1966, general OHSMS goals, key components of the efficient occupational health and safety management, team responsible for developing and implementing OHSMS, detailed tasks);
- improvement program for safety culture at work (occupational health and safety team tasks, general tasks, occupational health and safety training and communication within the company, motivational tasks).
