The ‘WIPH/RHINO’ Project
Multi-purpose engineering vehicle with hybrid drive.
Project purposes:
The goal of the ‘WIPH/RHINO’ project is to design and build a demonstrator of an engineering vehicle with a hybrid drive for transportation and engineering work and for emergency rescue and evacuation of personnel and equipment.
This 5-ton vehicle will be intended for anyone who needs to move on difficult terrain (construction workers, geodesists, foresters, flood rescue services, service technicians, etc.).
The vehicle will have a powered attachment for installation of specialized engineering equipment. The vehicle will be highly mobile in difficult terrain, moving with a speed of up to 70 km/h on public roads.
The drive and steering systems will be controlled manually and remotely, with an option for autonomous operation.
