The ‘IUP@TDP’ Project

Infrastructure, equipment and technical and legal procedures related to securing and storing so-called ‘difficult forensic evidence’ (IUP@TDP).

The main goal of the project is to establish or adapt infrastructure, equipment and technical and legal procedures related to securing, storing and disposing of so-called ‘difficult forensic evidence’. The project will deliver a comprehensive solution in the form of a system for safe handling, storage and disposal of dangerous forensic evidence, based on the latest technologies.

Detailed goals of the project include:

  • Development of legal procedures required by the Polish Police Law, other laws, and regulations on procedures in criminal cases related to securing, storing and disposing of so-called ‘difficult forensic evidence’;
  • Investigation into the dogmas of laws and regulations applicable to the Police and other branches of the law, concerning identification of legal issues related to securing and storing difficult forensic evidence, including a proposal for comprehensive legal resolution of securing and disposing of such evidence;
  • Development of advanced technologies and equipment for securing, handling, storing and disposing of difficult forensic evidence; Development of requirements and identification of functionalities, drafting of a project and building of a facility for storage and further disposal of difficult forensic evidence.
