Sabuvis II project
The aim of the Sabuvis II project is to develop a demonstrator for a shoal of closely cooperating biomimetic autonomous underwater vehicles. Key innovation drivers include underwater navigation, communication and co-operation of vehicles within the shoal, as well as biomimetic propulsion elements based on soft robotics. The project will develop elements of GPS-less navigation system technology, new biomimetic propulsion designs and an underwater obstacle avoidance system. A simulation environment for the study of shoal control strategies will also be developed.
