Project purposes: The overall goal of the project was to enable prevention of breakdowns by evaluation of demand for implementation and certification of functional safeguards for instrumented protection systems representing a very important and the best link in the chain of protection against breakdown. The detailed goal consisted of developing models and procedures for evaluation and certification based on estimation of risk.
