INNOVATION CIRCUS
Challenge and Illuminate Regional Creators and Unfold Societal Strength
6th Framework Program, contract number: 038825, project budget: EUR 2,182,660
Implementation timeframe: 08/2006 – 06/2008
Coordinator: EuroCenter, Denmark
Project purposes: The purpose of the research project was to identify factors driving innovation, particularly those resulting from demand from the industry. This enabled practical implementation of the already developed (as part of the project) methodology for building national and regional innovative policies (so-called ‘good practices’). The project was focused on identification of possible innovators among the society, starting from youth and ending with most experienced personnel of research laboratories. Each phase of the innovation lifecycle has been integrated with requirements of the industry, which enabled promotion of public-private partnership. In addition, the project aimed to define potential innovative technologies in each region by orienting and improving the culture of innovativeness across Europe.
