ENERPACK
Multi-low-power Energy Source Packaging
Micro-generator of electric energy based on renewable energy sources
Program ‘Eureka’, contract number: Eur-09-04/33NCBiR/11.
Project budget: EUR 2,500,000
Implementation timeframe: 12/07/2011 – 30/11/2012
Coordinator: ERYMA SECURITY SYSTEMS, France
Project purposes: The goal of the project is to develop an innovative, affordable and highly integrated system of multi-source micro-generators of electric power in the form of a single ready-to-use module. These intelligently managed sourced of electric power can supply both stationary and mobile sensor systems, providing them with long-term autonomy.
Innovativeness of the project involves also the following:
- Close integration of various sources of energy: solar, thermal and kinetic;
- Use of advanced wind turbines equipped with kinetic micro-generators storing kinetic energy of the wind and vibration;
- Innovative enclosure enabling maintenance of a temperature difference optimal for the module and setting up thermally efficient connections between components of the system;
- Designing of an innovative unit responsible for managing and controlling the processes of energy generation and consumption, assisted by weather forecasts sent wirelessly to the device.
