Quality policy
A tool for achieving the Institute’s strategic objectives is the implemented and continuously improved quality management system meeting the requirements of PN-EN ISO 9001:2015-10, AQAP 2110:2016 and the requirements of the Internal Control System for the planned improvement of product quality.
Strategic objectives of the Łukasiewicz Research Network – Industrial Institute for Automation and Measurements (PIAP):
- implementation of R&D projects within the Network’s objective referred to in art. 1(2)(1) of the Łukasiewicz Research Network Act (Journal of Laws 2019, item 534),
- design, manufacture, sale and commercialisation of the Institute’s products,
- international cooperation in research and development and commercialisation.
Prospective directions of R&D activities of the Łukasiewicz Research Network – Industrial Institute for Automation and Measurements (PIAP):
- mobile robotics and derived advanced technologies for security and defence systems,
- measurement systems for industrial control and production systems,
- robotisation of production lines, including robotic manufacturing systems with special emphasis on human-operated robots,
- autonomous data processing systems and artificial intelligence,
- autonomy of ground-based mobile systems,
- promotion of advanced technical solutions for the Polish industry
and publishing activities, - dispersion of automation and robotisation technologies into markets such as space, mining, energy, agriculture, medicine,
- incremental technologies and numerical calculations aimed at optimising mechanical structures.

The Institute’s management is responsible for effectiveness of the quality management system. The Director’s Quality Officer oversees the operation of the system and promotes the importance of quality to all staff. Heads of organisational units ensure that the quality management system is maintained and improved in their area of operation. Updating the quality management system documentation and involving staff in its implementation aims to improve its functionality and achieve its objectives. All Łukasiewicz-PIAP employees are aware of the Quality Policy to the extent that they can consciously participate in the implementation of its objectives and principles.
The management and employees of Łukasiewicz-PIAP undertake to use all available means and methods to ensure satisfaction of customers, by meeting their requirements, statutory and regulatory requirements and those resulting from our own experience, as well as analyses and marketing research.
