Institute Board
The first term of the Łukasiewicz – PIAP Institute Board began on 10 December 2019. In accordance with the Act on the Łukasiewicz Research Network, the Board’s term will last 4 years.
In accordance with the Act on the Łukasiewicz Research Network (in force since 1 April 2019), the Scientific Board of the PIAP Institute was replaced by a newly appointed Łukasiewicz – PIAP Board. The Institute Board consists of 6 members appointed by the President of the Łukasiewicz Centre at the request of the Director of the Łukasiewicz – PIAP, selected among the third-party personnel and 4 members selected among the Network Institute employees hired with an employment contract.
The Board includes:
Chairman of the Network Institute Board: Roman Szewczyk, Prof. D.Eng.
Deputy Chairman of the Network Institute Board: Adam Andrzejuk, M.Eng.
Secretary of the Network Institute Board: Maciej Cader, D.Eng.
In accordance with the Act on the Łukasiewicz Research Network and the Rules of the Institute Board, the tasks of the Board include:
- determining the future direction of research and development works of the Network Institute;
- passing the statute of the Network Institute;
- giving an opinion on:
- Network Institute Bylaws,
- annual Network Institute plans,
- annual Network Institute reports,
- the proposal of the share of net profits of the Network Institute, and
- matters concerning the Network Institute operation brought forward by the Director or other bodies of the Łukasiewicz Centre.
