Łukasiewicz - PIAP at the “Eagles of Safety 2024” gala
The “Eagles of Safety 2024” awards were handed out at the Sofitel Warsaw Victoria hotel in Warsaw on 6 May. Among the winners was the institute of Łukasiewicz – PIAP.
This year’s “Defence24 Days” conference took place on 6-7 May. In addition to a series of presentations and panel discussions, the event was topped out with the “Eagles of Safety” gala.
The “Eagle of Security” award in the “International Security” category was awarded to Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski, while the “Public Service Eagle” was presented to Commissioner Andrzej Zulawinski.
The award for the promotion of Polish defence innovations on foreign markets went to Łukasiewicz Institute – PIAP based in Warsaw. “It is a privilege and an honour for us to have been awarded this prize. We already have 25 years of activity in this area behind us. Today, we are present on almost 30 markets worldwide with several hundred robots and a dozen or so models. Every year we establish partnerships with new markets and our robots find further uses. In thanking you for this award. I wish the Polish Armed Forces to be amply equipped with drones to save people from danger, which is our mission statement. And to all of us, I wish that this equipment would never have to be used and that there would never be a reason for doing that,” said habilitated doctor of engineering Piotr Szynkarczyk, Director of Łukasiewicz – PIAP.

It is a leading event for the arms sector and industries responsible for safety and security of the public, business and public administration.
