Gold Medal for the ExoReha-control project
A device for remote control of rehabilitation exoskeletons has won the Gold Medal at the IPITEX fair.
Bangkok hosted the International Intellectual Property, Invention, Innovation and Technology Exposition (IPITEX 2024), organised by the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT). Representatives from 25 countries showcased more than 600 inventions.
The project entitled “ExoReha-control – a device for immersive remote control of rehabilitation exoskeletons”, submitted to the IPITEx 2024 competition at “Thailand Inventors’ Day 2024”, was highly appreciated by the international jury and awarded the Gold Medal.
Rehabilitation exoskeletons can take over the physiotherapist’s duties by facilitating or inhibiting movements of body parts. They add strength and provide better accuracy for repetitive movements. What is more, a “fleet” of such robots can be used for exercising by multiple patients, under control of a single therapist – even remotely.
