Professor Janusz Kacprzyk - Honorary Member of AIIA

Professor Janusz Kacprzyk has received another international accolade – the title of a Honorary Member of the Artificial Intelligence Industry Alliance.

 

The global International Artificial Intelligence Industry Alliance (AIIA) was established in Hong Kong in 2023. It comprises about 3,000 eminent experts in computer science, computational intelligence, data science, AI and related sciences and robotics, as well as industry and business representatives. Among other things, the AIIA aims to promote artificial intelligence in industrial and business applications.

Professor Janusz Kacprzyk, who has been awarded for his professional and scientific achievements for many years, is an expert in the field of fuzzy logic and its application in databases, fuzzy methods of information representation and processing, decision support systems and neural networks. Apart from other subjects, he studies the use of computer science and AI in system modelling and control. He is the editor-in-chief of the scientific quarterly JAMRIS published by Łukasiewicz – PIAP and the chairman of the programme committee of the “AUTOMATION” Scientific and Technical Conference. In previous years he participated in many projects carried out by Łukasiewicz – PIAP, including FORESIGHT ARP – “Foresight of priority, innovative technologies for automation, robotics and measurement technology”. He is also a member of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN) where he heads the Smart Systems Workshop at the Institute for System Research.
