A few hundred exhibitors and more than 4500 visitors – the new formula trade fair is over
Three trade fair events – AUTOMATICON, ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING AND LIGHT – attracted a large number of companies and visitors despite the pandemic on 26-28 March 2022, with a wide range of innovative solutions presented by exhibitors representing more than 20 countries.
The 26th edition of the AUTOMATICON International Fair for Automation and Measurements is over. Despite the pandemic, both exhibitors and visitors came in large numbers, eager to take advantage of rare opportunities for personal talks and making new contacts. At the same time, the Warsaw EXPO XXI Centre became a venue for meetings as part of two events held in conjunction with AUTOMATICON, that is the 19th ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING International Trade Fair of Electrical Equipment and Protection Systems and the 29th LIGHT International Trade Fair of Electrical Equipment and Protection Systems. Honorary Patronage of the event was taken by: Ministry of Development and Technology, Minister of Education and Science, Marshall of the Mazowieckie Province Adam Struzik, Committee on Automation and Robotics of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
218 companies exhibited during the three-day event. At that time the EXPO XXI Centre was visited by over 4500 individuals, while the training courses, workshops and seminars accompanying the event gathered 246 participants.
Among the exhibitors there were companies representing different parts of Europe – such as Albania, Latvia, Ukraine, France, Lithuania, Belgium, Germany, Croatia, Moldova, Russia, Austria, Norway, Kazakhstan, Estonia, Great Britain, Ireland, Italy, Portugal, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, Slovakia, Kosovo, Denmark or Iceland.
Due to the pandemic and current restrictions, both in Poland and worldwide, this year’s edition was slightly smaller than previous ones. However, according to many exhibitors, the fair served its purpose well, allowing new and promising business relationships to be established.
An inherent element of each edition of the AUTOMATICON International Fair for Automation and Measurements is the awarding of Gold Medals – prestigious awards for innovative products in the broadly defined automation industry. This year they were awarded to:
- Centrum Badań i Rozwoju Technologii dla Przemysłu S.A. (Robotised Plastering System ZST)
- FINDER Polska Sp. z o.o. (68 series high-power relay),
- Inovatica AGV Sp. z o.o. (INOVATICA AGV autonomous forklifts),
- LEAN TECH Sp. z o.o. (AMR Lean-Cart 20.0 robot).
- Łukasiewicz Research Network – Industrial Research Institute for Automation and Measurements PIAP (TC-XXXP Railway Tachograph).
