A competition for new companies as part of the Robot Union project
Financing and acceleration services for start-up companies. The first open competition as part of the Robot Union project is open for application with a closing date of 3 July 2018.
Robot Union is an international research project in cooperation with the Industrial Research Institute for Automation and Measurements PIAP as part of the Horizon 2020 programme. The project aims to identify 20 Superstar ScaleUps – new European enterprises researching and developing innovative solutions. The winners will be financed with up to €223,000 equity free plus acceleration services.

How to apply?
The application to the open competition as part of Robot Union project can be submitted by 3 July 2018. Fill in the application form available on the project’s website.

First phase
Robot Union project beneficiaries will receive €3,800 in cash and services in the first phase. The 10 best start-ups will enter in the product acceleration program and will receive up to €120,000 in cash plus services offered by the research and development institutes in the consortium: VTT, DTI, TU DELFT, TECNALIA and the Industrial Research Institute for Automation and Measurements PIAP.
Financing up to €1M
Finally, the four best start-ups will receive up to €100,000 for development. The four best start-ups will also have the possibility to be privately funded with around €1M with the help of Blumorpho, Odense Seed and Venture and Chrysalix that are part of Robot Union consortium.
Scientific and technological support
Selected companies will be able to participate in a 12 months Premium Acceleration Service, led by top Research and Technology Organizations from all over Europe, world-class digital ecosystem professionals and entrepreneurs.
